Biographical Sketch
Dr. Erik Bongcam-Rudloff is Swedish biologist and computer scientist. He received his doctorate in medical sciences from Uppsala University in 1994. As of 2005, he is an associate professor at the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics and also associated to The Linnaeus Centre for Bioinformatics in Uppsala (a joint initiative between Uppsala University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences). He is also the chairman of EMBnet which is a science-based group of collaborating bioinformatics nodes throughout the world.
